BASIC FUNCTIONS:

This position performs moderately difficult research, design, and software development assignments within a specific software functional area or product line. The position should have the ability to work on individual pieces of work and solve problems including the design of the program flow of individual pieces of code, effective coding, and unit testing.

Technical Skills

• Hands on Full Stack technical/coding experience with Java and/or Scala, Spark, AWS, SQL, JavaScript are required
• Hands on with AWS Services like Fargate, Cloud Watch, Cloud Formation Template, S3 are required.
• Hands on Coding Experience in C#, .Net Core, Angular, HTML5 and CSS are good to have.
• Must have worked with all data or file types such as JSON/XML/XSL.
• Experience designing, coding, unit testing and debugging of moderately complex software solutions.
• Experience configuring, identifying performance bottlenecks
• Familiarity with profiling and optimizing system resources for better performant code.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems concepts and principles (consistency and availability, liveness and safety, durability, reliability, security, fault-tolerance)
• Ability to work well with internal and external technology resources.
• Knowledge of Relational and NoSQL databases.
• Knowledge of Test-driven development.
• Good oral and written communication skills (English).

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Software Engineering experience.
• BS Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experience required

Responsibilities

• Interface with other technical personnel or team members to finalize requirements.
• Write and review portions of detailed specifications for the development of system components of moderate complexity.
• Work closely with other development team members in a collaborative way to understand moderately complex product requirements and translate them into software designs.
• Successfully implement development processes, coding best practices, code coverage and code reviews.
• Resolve Technical issues, Fix any bugs in Production or Development environments.
• Keep abreast of new technology developments and always ready to learn and adapt.
• Should code by following the defined Security Compliance, firewall and policies.
• All other duties as assigned and required.
