Responsibilities
Job Purpose
The role of the Software Development Manager is to serve as a key player in the future success of Drive Shack's technology.

Responsibilites

• Develop, troubleshoot and maintain application code for existing programs on both the front-end (JavaScript, HTML, Kotlin, Python, CSS, etc.) and the back-end (Java, Postgres, etc.)
• Lead and collaborate with team in defining architecture; implement data contracts; identify and proactively advise on potential risks to success
• Design, develop and test new modules throughout their life cycle
• Work closely with cross-functional team members including project management to ensure high quality, on-time software delivery
• Learn, understand and use custom java and JavaScript frameworks used by the application; contribute to development, troubleshooting and maintenance of custom framework as needed.
• Manage application design and dependencies
• Experience with mobile development including knowledge of Android and iOS platform
• Work to develop and maintain unit testing platform
• Develop, test and maintain bash scripts used for compiling and deploying code
• Manage infrastructure established using AWS and Kubernetes
• Demonstrated experience in process development and management
• Research and deploy changes to improve application and user experience
• Develop and maintain coding conventions, policies and procedures

Qualifications
Qualifications and Skills

• 5+ years of core Java development experience
• 3+ years of people management experience a plus
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related area
• Cloud development experience in AWS and Kubernetes
• Solid experience with MySQL/Postgres, JSON/XML, REST services, Bash scripting, JQuery, HTML/CSS, JavaScript, Linux, Data Design/Modeling
• Experience architecting and developing large scale design.
• Preferred experience with Bootstrap, popular front-end JS frameworks (i.e. Angular, node), Mobile development, PHP and Windows/.NET
• Demonstrated process development and management experience
