Software Architect (Embedded Drones, Azure) Located in Orange County, CA, we are a world-class Defense R&D Enterprise supporting Commercial & Government organizations with expertise in RF, EMP, Pulsed Power, Acoustics and Threat Warning Systems.

We are looking for an experienced Software Architect who's worked with embedded systems and has interest in unmanned aircraft systems (UAS). This role spans across avionics, embedded software, AIML, and cloud implementation with technical leadership of 4-5 team members onsite in Orange County.

This role reports onsite in Orange County, CA.

What You Will Be Doing - Lead architecture and development of avionics software, embedded systems, cloud computing, and network applications
- Manage a small team of developers and make high-level architecture decisions
- Work closely with leadership to drive innovation within avionics
What You Need for this Position REQUIRED:
* BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related

* 10+ years of experience including software development, architecture, design, and documentation

* Skilled in Embedded Software Engineering (within Avionics, Aviation, Aerospace, Drones, or similar industry)

* Cloud Development and Architecture (we use Azure)

* Expertise in C/C++

PREFERRED:

* VHDL, Verilog, FPGA development

* LabView

* Implementing AIML
