Software Architect---Full-Time Direct Hire!

Modis, Inc. is seeking a for a full-time direct hybrid role locally in either Akron, OH or Cleveland, OH. The Architect/Lead Developer will be involved in all aspects of the application development lifecycle. Using an agile framework, the ideal candidate will work closely with teammates within Technology Services as well as other team members from across the company to refine existing products and bring new products and services to market. Qualified candidates will have 8+ years in software development along with 2+ years in Lead or Architect roles.

Software Architect Job Responsibilities Include :

All areas of the software development lifecycle including requirement analysis, design, implementation (coding), integration, testing, deployment, and maintenance

Collaborate with other Technology Services team members and key business stakeholders to achieve business objectives

Research and recommend technical solutions to fit business needs

Provide technical leadership to the application development team

Ensure we are architecting and developing our applications with a "security mindset"

Work with team and leadership to define and refine development standards

Hands-on development activity (e.g., prototyping, code reviews, feature development, creation of design/coding examples, pairing)

Actively participate in team activities and knowledge sharing, including scrum ceremonies

Actively participate in definition and refinement of team processes and activities

Work collaboratively and effectively with all members of the team (PO, BA, QA, Developer)

Qualifications:

8+ years in Software Development including 2+ years in Lead or Architect roles

Understanding of Clean Architecture/DDD/Hexagonal Architecture

Microservices and CI/CD knowledge

Skills in some of the following languages: Vue.js or similar JavaScript framework (Angular/React), Node.js, TypeScript, JavaScript, C#.NET, ASP.NET, SQL, REST API's

Plusses include: Cloud, Azure, Git, Bitbucket, Jira, Azure DevOps, Jest, Cypress, Docker, Salesforce

Proven design experience building complex systems

Keen sense of creative thinking, attention to detail and problem solving

Self-directed learner, with the ability to pick up new technologies on their own

Motivated to educate and mentor others on design and coding best practices
