ABOUT THE JOB
The Bronx REAL PROS program offers recovery-oriented and rehabilitation services for individuals 18 years of age and older who are living with mental illness. Participants develop personalized recovery plans to realize life role goals and integrate into the community. The program utilizes evidence-based practices, person-centered individual and group services, and optional vocational and clinical services to assist participants in achieving their goals.

The schedule for this position is as follows: Monday to Friday - 8:30am to 4:00pm

The Social Workers will provide culturally competent and sensitive clinical care in an OMH licensed outpatient PROS Program. This program treats individuals across the developmental spectrum who presents with behavioral health issues. The interventions include: evaluations; individual, group and/or family therapy; case management; and crisis interventions. Responsibilities include:

  • Participating in the interdisciplinary evaluation of individual clients
  • Providing culturally competent therapy to clients
  • Individualizing and understanding the needs of the client and the client's family or support network
  • Identifying appropriate treatment or service providers
  • Facilitating client referrals to internal, external and/or linkage program
  • Performing individual or group psychotherapy
  • Establishing client goals and assessing the client's success in meeting those goals

TO QUALIFY
The Jewish Board is currently looking for talented Social Workers of all cultures, religions, races, and gender expressions with the following qualifications:

  • Master's degree in counseling, creative arts, or social work from an accredited program
  • New York State License or limited permit in Mental Health Counseling (LMHC); Creative Arts Therapy (LCAT), or social work (LMSW) required.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) speaker preferred.
