What you will be doing :

The Social Media Marketing Manager is someone who has a zeal for knowing what will resonate socially, get ahead of what's trending, and has a knack for responding to trending cultural moments. Ultimately, this person will lead all aspects of all initiatives to ensure social engagement, growth, brand consistency and increased web traffic and acquisition.

This innovative, and highly organized Social Media Marketing Manager is deeply passionate about beauty and depends upon their outstanding relationship building and communication talents to advance and deliver on the Drybar's overall marketing and brand strategy.

The role crafts, designs, and handles social media/marketing initiatives to ensure constantly gathering of appropriate audiences and communication of the Drybar brand. He or she is a key contributor in driving strong storytelling, social media campaign and project development. This person is also responsible for growing the Drybar audience across all social media channels through execution and optimization (regionally, nationally, and digitally).


  • Build and maintain an editorial calendar across all our social channels, telling seasonal and impactful stories across all our channels throughout the year that are aligned to brand marketing campaigns.

  • Proactive and detailed content curation, including editorial calendar management, copy writing, artistic development and alignment with priority campaigns and announcements.

  • Build an innovative outreach program for micro-influencers to drive conversation and brand awareness.

  • Focus on brand and messaging consistency; responsible for outstanding quality assurance and standards across Drybar channels.

  • Converse frequently with social partners (Twitter, FB, IG and others) and optimize these relationships to seek opportunities.

  • Provide creative direction for creation of assets and for social campaigns.

  • Collaborate with the Brand Marketing, Digital Marketing, Creative and Paid Marketing teams to define and execute measurement plans aligned with marketing priorities.

  • Measure, report, and analyze the performance of campaigns across channels and translate findings into measurable recommendations. This includes performance of individual posts and content, as well as broad trends across platforms.

  • Supervise audience growth with measuring how many posts and messages there are around Drybar, but also how many people are talking about brand. Maximize monetization of social platforms where applicable.

  • Innovate and implement test and learn strategies and deliver results. Research current benchmark trends and audience preferences, including analysis of owned account data.

  • Lead the shaping, development, and execution of social media's best methods across the company, including the administration of training.

  • Prioritize and handle incoming requests for information, social amplification, and cross-functional campaign support. Manage unexpected communication challenges with high judgment and professionalism.

  • Act as a primary point of contact for all platform partners that include, but are not limited to, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest & Twitter.

  • Create and maintain comprehensive report on social channels that analyze the strengths and weaknesses of social media strategy. Regular reporting to share metrics such as volume of content, reach/exposure, engagement, audiences, clicks and traffic, and share of voice.

  • Ongoing reporting which provides an overview progress on social over a certain period with meaningful insights pivotal to revising strategy.

  • Reporting to analyze success and findings of campaigns to goals and targets. Act on reporting to adjust and address findings quickly.


Skills needed to be successful in this role:

  • Strong communication, organizational, and project management skills to effectively work in a fast-paced environment with added attention to details

  • Possess a balance between innovative and critical thinking and able to develop and execute on their ideas both large and small

  • A strong storyteller, able to distill content into bite-sized social media captions and images

  • Strong presentation skills with experience communicating cohesive plans to senior management clearly and concisely

  • Understanding of retail industry and related retail channels


Minimum Qualifications:

  • 4 +years' experience developing and managing social media content, strategy, channels, and campaigns including brand awareness and acquisition

  • 2 +years' experience in influencer, social media, digital marketing

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Knowledge and understanding of social media platforms, critical metrics, and emerging trends (Facebook, YouTube, SnapChat, Pinterest, Instagram, TikTok etc.)

  • Experience building and delivering high brand engagement social media marketing programs that acquire new customers, expand brand awareness, and grow social follower counts

  • Social Media experience associated with a national-level retailer

  • Proven ability to build, execute, and scale social media campaigns that have significant business impact and the ability to benchmark, track and report on the management of programs

  • Experience managing external agencies or partners

  • Master of MS Office Suite including Excel and PowerPoint

  • Strong analytical skills for measuring and tracking success with social operational tools, Google Analytics, and social media platforms

  • Experience crafting, editing, and posting content in various social operational tools and platforms

  • Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience as a Social Media Manager in retail, beauty, or fashion company.
