Job Title: Strategist

Location: Hybrid role, must be local to Portland, OR

Description:

As a Strategist, you will play a pivotal role in driving the narrative and communications strategy for key workstreams. Working closely with organizational leaders, you will craft and execute strategic communications plans, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives. Your expertise in storytelling and visual design will be crucial in developing compelling narratives and presentations for critical stakeholders and executive audiences.

What You'll Do:

• Partner with organizational leaders to create and execute strategic communications plans for key workstreams, ensuring alignment with overall organizational objectives.
• Develop stories, consistent narratives, presentations, and collateral for critical stakeholder communications, ensuring clarity and impact.
• Co-create and execute strategic communications for executive audiences in partnership with leadership, delivering messages effectively and persuasively.
• Provide visual design advisory and expertise to elevate stakeholder and executive communications, ensuring professional and engaging presentation materials.
• Collaborate with leadership to prioritize and address emerging communications and key stakeholder activity needs, adapting strategies as required.

Deliverables:

• Develop workback/project plans for key milestones, ensuring timely delivery of communication initiatives.
• Produce stakeholder communications such as newsletters and program updates, maintaining consistent messaging and branding.
• Create executive presentations and visual storytelling materials for key moments, capturing attention and conveying complex information effectively.
• Provide regular status updates on communication initiatives, ensuring transparency and accountability.

What You'll Bring:

• Strong storytelling expertise, with the ability to craft compelling narratives and adapt messaging to various audiences.
• Proficiency in Keynote, with the ability to collaborate closely with graphic designers to produce polished presentations.
• Experience in rapidly iterating on deliverables, with the agility to adjust strategies in a dynamic environment.
• Comfort working in highly ambiguous, politically charged environments, with the ability to navigate complexities and maintain focus on objectives.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.

Compensation and Benefits

Slalom is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For this position, the pay range is $75/hour to $85/hour. Actual compensation will depend upon an individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors. The pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.
