The Site IT Services Administrator is highly integrated with the Infrastructure team to support our internal employees with all matter of technical issues. This position will work closely with peers working across the globe, other infrastructure team members including workplace engineering, cloud, and network services. Our Site Services team will work closely with our third-party Solution Center partner to ensure the highest level of internal customer service is provided to our corporate employees. Your role whose primary goal is to maintain effective hardware, software and telephony solutions to support core organizational functions and business processes. This includes the full scope of gathering and analyzing business needs, using comparative analysis to come to the correct solution. This role will apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help maximize the benefit of IT system investments, along with a strong desire to learn and grow technically.

We are looking for someone whose experience illustrates a history in continuous improvement in their own education and experience, and in the greater organization. Someone who is a self-starter, but also enjoys highly technical collaboration with individuals as well as teams to learn new skills and work in areas that may not always directly correlate to their primary responsibilities.

Required Skills/Experience:

Job Knowledge:

  • Answers, evaluates, and prioritizes incoming telephone, voice mail, email, and in-person requests for assistance from users experiencing problems with hardware, software, networking, and other computer-related technologies.
  • Interviews user to collect information about problem and leads user through diagnostic procedures to determine source of error.
  • Determines whether problem is caused by hardware, software, or process.
  • Handles problem recognition, research, isolation, resolution, and follow-up for routine user problems, referring more complex problems to other support groups or leadership.
  • Logs and tracks calls using ServiceNow ticket application and maintains history records and related problem documentation.
  • Analyzes and evaluates incident reports and makes recommendations to reduce help line incident rate.
  • Calls software and hardware vendors to request service regarding defective products and troubleshoot issues.
  • Tests software and hardware to evaluate ease of use and whether product will aid user in performing work.
  • Writes or revises knowledge base records for internal team use or to aid internal customers.
  • Performs preventative maintenance and equipment repair.
  • Responds to needs and questions of internal customers concerning their access of network resources.
  • Stays current with new developments in the industry through periodicals, seminars, training, vendor visits and memberships.
  • Trains users on software and hardware on-site or in classroom or recommends outside contractors to provide training.
  • Installs personal computers, software, and peripheral equipment.
  • Responsible for assisting with the imaging of desktop clients.
  • Will track all assets per the guidelines established by IT leadership, will asset tag all equipment for IT.
  • Responsible for the maintenance of the IT spare equipment, this includes the management of the scrap processes.
  • Will be responsible to maintain, install, and troubleshoot handheld scanners, all peripherals, printers and supporting software.
  • Willingness to learn and manage new technologies.

Experience:
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing environment / site strongly preferred
  • Microsoft Windows Operating Systems 7 to current
  • Microsoft Office 365 Suite
  • Cloud based collaboration tools (Microsoft OneDrive and Teams)
  • Windows troubleshooting skills
  • Networking fundamentals (connectivity troubleshooting)
  • Windows Security (Multi-Factor, GPO, Anti-virus, etc.)
  • Windows desktop backups
  • Familiarity with various Windows applications
  • Remote support tools and proficiencies (Admin share access, computer management, remote command line, RDP, remote registry)
  • Windows OS and application troubleshooting
  • Windows scripting desired
  • Telephony experience desired (VOIP)

Additional Requirements:
  • B.S. in Computer Science, or equivalent experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to travel up to 10% for Life Fitness site-support, or for education.
  • Ability to support production systems for emergency support, and for systems maintenance required to be performed outside of business hours.
  • Other duties as assigned.
