Location: Dodge City, KS
Salary: $115,000.00 USD Annually - $150,000.00 USD Annually
Description:

  • Lead and manage investigations related to food safety, sanitation, and quality. Ensure critical issues are thoroughly addressed with appropriate corrective actions.
  • Foster a culture of learning and continuous improvement by coaching and mentoring others.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Production, Facilities & Engineering, and Quality & Technical teams to elevate product quality and the production environment.
  • Oversee the effectiveness of environmental monitoring and pre-operational inspection programs. Implement modifications for continuous improvement.
  • Enforce and audit Site Hygiene & GMP policies to ensure compliance.
  • Manage sanitation programs, including CIP validation, environmental cleaning, and pre-operational inspections.
  • Leverage external resources to support quality and sanitation objectives.
  • Identify and implement process and system improvements.
  • Lead the site laboratory & Food Safety budget planning and gain approval for capital expenditure projects.
  • Maintain Good Laboratory Practices (GLPs) and enforce laboratory safety.
  • Prepare for and manage site regulatory inspections and visits.
  • Oversee laboratory operations, driving reliability, consistency, and accuracy in testing and results reporting.
  • Coordinate selected GFSI certification programs, manage Kosher & Halal programs, and serve as a designated SQF substitute practitioner.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with 7+ years of experience OR Master's degree with 3+ years of experience.
  • Strong understanding of food safety & quality management principles.
  • Ability to obtain relevant certifications (PCQI, GFSI preferred).
  • Experience with HACCP plan development, auditing, and regulatory requirements.
  • Commitment to continuous development of food safety & food regulation knowledge.
  • Strategic understanding of production operations management for quality, yield, and cost (preferred).
Competitive Advantage:
  • Bachelor's degree with 10+ years of experience OR Master's degree with 5+ years of experience.
  • Knowledge of warehouse operations & inventory management (preferred).
  • Advanced understanding of Food Safety Related State and Federal Regulations (including PMO, if applicable).
