Responsibilities

How Will You Contribute to the Company?

Cradlepoint is seeking a smart and energetic Shipping/Receiving Clerk to work in our growing operations department. The ideal candidate should have domestic and international shipping knowledge, packing boxes, material handling, and a strong computer background.

What Will You Do?

  • Verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment: Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records
  • Determines method of shipment, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates
  • Affixes shipping labels on packed cartons or writes identifying shipping information on cartons, as needed
  • Assembles wooden or cardboard containers or selects preassembled containers
  • Inserts items into containers, using spacers, fillers, and protective padding
  • Posts weights and shipping charges, and affixes postage
  • Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications
  • Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies
  • May operate tier-lift truck or use hand truck to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping-and-receiving platform to storage or work area
  • Handles all customs issues and Freight exceptions as needed
  • Performs Daily Inventory count to assure inventory accuracy and trouble shots any discrepancies and determines best course to correct issues
  • Assists in achieving the goals of the department and the business by performing other duties as assigned
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED Certificate
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Ability to receive, track, and distribute materials, supplies, and equipment
  • Knowledge of light equipment operation and/or maintenance
  • Ability to prepare routine administrative paperwork
  • Ability to read, sort, check, count, and verify numbers
  • Ability to lift and manipulate heavy objects
  • Ability to perform simple arithmetic
  • Ability to detect problems and report information to appropriate personnel
  • Ability to receive, stock, and/or deliver goods
  • Knowledge FedEX/UPS, and LTL shipping methods and procedures including International shipping

Bonus Points:
  • Zero to one (0-1) years prior warehouse experience
  • Excel and Logistics experience

Your Pay:

The salary range for this position is listed below. The actual salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate's combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.

Your pay also includes the opportunity for an annual bonus. This variable pay opportunity is dependent upon the attainment of agreed to goals and objectives as determined by Cradlepoint's Senior Leadership team. Certain eligibility and pro-ration rules apply.

Cradlepoint provides generous paid time off, including: 15 days of Flexible Time Off (FTO), four paid quarterly well-being days, and 11 paid annual holidays (includes nine company holidays and up to two floating holidays). Please note that an employee's FTO balance and floating holidays may be prorated in the first year, based on start date. Cradlepoint also offers paid maternity-leave benefits and six weeks 100% paid family leave for all employees.
