General Description
Ideal candidate will have the Acquisition Documentation experience that is needed to support the Program Office PAPM for Acquisition on a new ship acquisition program.

General Duties

  • Function as an acquisition expert across multiple project assignments.
  • Supports the development of program acquisition documentation.
  • Supports and drafts program milestone related documentation to ensure compliance with all aspects of the Department of Defense (DoD) and SECNAV 5000 series directives.
  • Understand key acquisition milestones and associated requirements to be able to provide briefings and reports that are timely and complete.
  • Assess program procedures, practices, philosophies, and documentation for compliance with specifications, contracts, and mission requirements.
  • Attends, participates, supports, analyzes, provides input, develops, prepares and reports on briefs, point papers, reports, correspondence, meetings, conferences, and review boards.
  • Utilizes business and technical methodologies to provide support of hardware, software and service acquisition and life cycle management.
  • Participates in meetings and supports specified Program Integrated Product Teams (IPTs).

Minimum Requirements
  • Must hold active DoD (Secret) clearance
  • Possess a comprehensive knowledge of DoD and US Navy acquisition requirements.
  • 5-10 years of US Navy Acquisition and Shipbuilding experience - mandatory
  • DoD 5000 experience developing Milestone Documentation (e.g., Acquisition Plans and RFP/SOW) - mandatory
  • Solid writing skills - mandatory
  • Experience interacting and supporting senior civilians and military - mandatory
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic, team-oriented environment - mandatory
  • Possesses and applies a comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments.
  • Understand key acquisition milestones and associated requirements to be able to provide briefings and reports that are timely and complete.
  • Function as an acquisition expert across multiple project assignments.
  • Supervise other company team members if assigned.

Navy Shipbuilding - preferred

Security Requirements: Must hold active DoD (Secret) clearance
