Les équipes de cette activité contribuent à la collecte, au tri, au démantèlement, au recyclage, à la valorisation et la commercialisation de nouvelles ressources et des services spécialisés sur sites et industriels.

The Technical Consultant has a primary objective of business retention with profitable business expansion as the secondary goal. This person must be a good problem solver and be able to assess a customer situation from both a sales and technical point of view, develop improvement plans and then influence the sales team to ensure the objectives are met.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or relevant technical degree (chemistry)
  • Minimum of 5 - 10 years of experience in water treatment or process treatment chemistry or other industry experience
  • Ability and willingness to travel approximately 20 - 40%

Eligibility Requirements:
  • Ability and willingness to reside in assigned region, or within customer proximity requirements, as required
  • Work frequently in a heavy industrial environment requiring use of Personal Safety Equipment and exposure to noise, dust, chemicals and other similar irritants typical of those found in refinery, chemical plants, power plants, etc., as required
  • Ability and willingness to comply with stringent drug testing and background check requirements set by customer safety requirements, as required
  • Strong computer skills including MS Office, and other software programs within a Windows environment

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support for the commercial sales team in water treatment and / or process technology
  • Continuous technical knowledge improvement
  • Understanding of our waterside chemical, equipment, and service offerings
  • Understand individual customer concerns, develop corrective action plans and communicate to the commercial team
  • Direct customer management through clear communication internally and externally
  • Document competitors' activities and assess potential market moves
  • Make technical presentations to all levels of customer organization
  • Contribute positively to Geo sales and profitability goals
  • Works with Product Applications to conduct technical audits in existing accounts and survey prospect accounts
  • Provides technical troubleshooting and equipment inspection support at key accounts within the region; First line support for providing and ensuring accuracy of local account technical and operation information necessary for high quality RFQ responses; May be asked to join RFQ response team to collect, correct, and/or certify key technical data
  • Articulates the differentiable aspects of SUEZ SWTS chemical treatment programs vs. the competition to customers within the region including participating in technical seminars and presentations at specific customer sites
  • Communicates technical accomplishments through internal and external publications, presentations, and patents that are closely reviewed
  • Serves as transition resource for new business acquisitions
  • Works together with the account manager and area manager to dollarize the value delivered by SWTS Programs
  • Facilitates lunch and learns to foster technical training knowledge transfer to the commercial team, customers, and prospect
  • Any job duties as assigned by supervisor or manager
