About This Role:

The SeniorSystem Administrator plans and coordinates all activities related to the design, development, enhancement, maintenance, and implementation of the organization's physical, virtual, cloud and telephony environments. The Sr. System Administrator is also responsible for overseeing and performing advanced-level system administration tasks and coordinates with Network Engineers to support all network connectivity, including the organization's server clusters and all connections to LAN/WAN technologies, ensuring the availability of server technology resources.

Job Description:

  • Design, implement, and maintains the Credit Union's physical and VMWare virtual infrastructure.
  • Applies OS patches and upgrades regularly and upgrades administrative tools and utilities; Configures/adds new applications and services as necessary.
  • Supports and assists the manager in ensuring established performance and departmental goals are met by facilitating daily tasks and project initiatives.
  • Performs daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups and restores.
  • Performs daily backup operations, ensuring all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up to the appropriate media, recovery disks are created, and media is recycled and set off-site as necessary.
  • Maintains operational, configuration, and other procedural documentation.
  • Performs periodic performance reporting to support capacity planning-Remediates capacity issues with hardware upgrades as necessary.
  • Support, troubleshoot, and upgrade applications based on business department requirements and needs.
  • Participates in the Information Technology Disaster Recovery Team; maintains Credit Union disaster recovery site and performs ongoing verification testing.
  • Assists with remediation and mitigation of system and network vulnerabilities.
  • Performs management of internal and external DNS, including internal DHCP.
  • Manages internal root certificate and certificate infrastructure. Manages third-party signed certificates.
  • Advanced Active Directory operations, including group policy, sites, and services, Azure AD, ADFS, domain functional levels, and FSMO roles.
  • Provide support to the System Administration Manager to enforce policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Mentors and leads junior members of the IT team

Required Qualifications:
  • At least four years of experience in the capacity of Systems Administrator.
  • Experience administering Windows Server 2012 R2 and above with knowledge of group policy development and implementation and administering and deploying systems in a virtual environment.
  • Knowledge of WAN, LAN, SAN, Blade Servers, VMware, Veeam, Linux, Microsoft Windows Server & Workstation, SQL Server, MS Office applications, Internet architecture and protocols, phone switches, phone configuration, routers, switches.

Nice to Have, But Not Required:
  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university with 5+ years of financial institution systems support and/or administration or equivalent experience and education.
  • Knowledge of host application systems, including DNA/Fiserv products, imaging systems (OnBase), and Automated Teller Machine systems.
  • At least one certification from the following list:
    • Windows: MCSE, MCSA, or other windows server or infrastructure certifications are preferred
    • VMWare: VCP6 or other VMWare certifications are preferred.

Pay & Benefits

The salary range for this position is $85,00.00 and up, depending on experience. It also entails the benefits available to all Amplify employees, including a 401(k) with a company match of 100% on the first 5% you contribute.

Location

This position is eligible to be fully remote to candidates in the Austin Metropolitan area. The role will require the individual to periodically travel to our data centers, server rooms, and branches in the area.
