We are currently in need of a Senior Accountant to work in our fast-paced construction environment. The position will report to the Controller with responsibilities supporting CECO's Operations Center based Finance and Accounting department.

Primary Responsibilities

• Prepare schedules, reconciliations, and documentation for use in multiple sales tax filings for nationwide construction contractor.
• Research and communicate sales tax matters to stakeholder throughout the organization.
• Work with regionally based managers to obtain and renew required state and municipal business licenses.
• Manage new vendor setup and maintenance requests.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts along with other month end tasks, including intercompany cost allocations.
• Review Accounts Payable invoices related to Freight, Fleet, and other key accounts.
• Performs special projects and completes all other duties as assigned or requested for the general support of the organization

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
• Strong analytical problem solver with the ability to accurately calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook) and relevant accounting software experience.

Additional Preferred Qualifications

• A minimum of five years of relevant work experience.
• Experience with sales tax concepts and practices.
• Knowledge of Construction industry concepts and practices.
• Experience with digital data imaging techniques and applications.
