ECS is seeking a Senior Solutions Consultant to work in our Arlington, VA office.

ECS is seeking a Senior Solutions Consultant to lead our delivery team in support of our National Security client's Chief Information Office (CIO). The scope of our client's mission is to deliver enterprise solutions and services to meet the agency's internal information technology and communications needs, with a regional operations footprint. Our support scope includes subject matter expertise, design, and planning of enterprise network and information systems, security, and cloud architecture to enable the delivery of agency services. This position is located in Ballston, VA (Arlington) with the option for routine remote work.

Job Description:

  • The Senior Solutions Consultant will operate as a senior architect, senior engineer, and technical lead responsible for leading and supporting teams designing and delivering enterprise capabilities and solutions (Hybrid Cloud, SaaS solutions, Network, IDAM/Directory, Email, Collaboration, and Knowledge Management). This individual will play a strategic role in helping our customers establish their vision, supporting strategies, and technical roadmaps to deliver mission-enabling capabilities. Lead teams in merging technical, business, mission, and customer needs into achievable objectives, developing solutions, and driving the completion of projects to realize those objectives. As an expert in delivering technical projects, the Senior Solutions Consultant will identify agency challenges, and define and coordinate team activities to deliver improvements across multiple dimensions of agency planning, execution, and operation of their IT and solutions portfolio. As a team leader this individual will enable multifunctional teams in the design and transition of organizational solutions into effective operation across people, processes, and technologies. This individual will identify key activities where as a technical leader you will own and individually execute deliverables with highest impact and criticality, while leveraging and coordinating team resources in support of overall project delivery.
  • Provide thought and design leadership as a trusted advisor to CIO customer leadership, project managers, and technical leads
  • Serve as technical SME for cloud, network, identity/directory and Microsoft 365 services
  • Leverage understanding of client's vision, mission and goals to drive integrated and unifying frameworks and business and mission focused decisions
  • Anticipate risks and obstacles, collaborate with customer and account leadership team to develop plans and actions for mitigation
  • Lead and support solution design sessions identifying and evaluating tradeoffs between design, risk, and cost
  • Establish and expand multiple strategic client relationships through interpersonal skill, technical expertise, and a focus on driving value through deliver excellence
  • Effectively communicate with Senior Executives, Functional and Technical Leaders, peers, and staff.
  • Drive, communicate and gain support for decisions in unstructured environments. Ensure high quality, on-time team and individual execution of project deliverables.
  • Be an exceptional team player with the ability to develop and foster cross-functional relationships and an innovative and inclusive team culture.
  • Work closely with key client stakeholders to identify, understand, resolve, and communicate technical and business issues.
Required Skills:
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Must be able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance
  • 11+ years' progressive experience in technical lead and technical project management - leading the planning, architecting, and engineering of enterprise class systems and services
  • In depth knowledge and hands-on experience with AWS and/or Azure cloud service offerings
  • Apply advanced organizational and technical knowledge in developing solutions or problem solving where complexity, innovation and technical expertise are required
  • Ability to understand the client's vision, mission, and goals and synthesize organizational capabilities and gaps. Leverage understanding to develop and drive clear, integrated and unifying frameworks for action and decisions involving businesses and mission focus
  • Demonstrated practical experience in developing and executing against visions, strategies and technical roadmaps
  • Knowledge and experience working with Network and Security Operations Centers - to include integrating the operational and security monitoring, vulnerability management, security assessments and scanning, logging integration, event management, and incident response for major enterprise and/or mission systems
  • Experience evolving organizations that support full lifecycle solution delivery and operations
  • Experience leading, managing, supervising, and guiding diverse team(s) of technical, functional, and creative subject matter experts in delivering mission value, improving culture, and driving results for customers and staff alike.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand, resolve and communicate technical and business issues.
  • Ability to function effectively in an energetic, fast paced environment while maintaining excellent organizational skills, focus and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated strategic and critical thinking, with strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to build, grow, and maintain strong relationships with customers, peers, leadership, and teams. Proven success in consulting to C-level clients.
  • Demonstrate ability to effectively help customers and new and/or transforming organizations transition from "storming/forming" phases to "performing" phase
Desired skills:
  • Active Secret or higher clearance
  • Experience supporting federal CISOs and their role in securing, protecting, defending their enterprises, while maintaining compliance with federal laws, policies, and mandates.
  • Knowledge of the federal capability and strategic planning, and acquisition and systems engineering lifecycles
  • Fluent in cybersecurity practices and policy
  • Experience in the full systems engineering life cycle, from initial design/analysis to deployment.
  • Experience in driving adoption and proficiency of changes within client organizations
  • Experience with PMBoK, Agile and DevSecOps Methods and Practices for managing requirements, work products, and solution development and delivery.
  • Project Management, Agile, and/or Cyber Certifications (PMP / ACP / CSM / SAFe / CISM)
