RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client in Fort Lauderdale, FL that is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with a passion for sports. You will be creative, self-motivated, cross-functional, a quick study, and willing to develop new skills while constantly improving existing abilities. You should also be a strong multi-tasker with solid time-management skills. To be successful at this job, you need to be a good team player, think outside of the box, have the ability to work in multiple languages and enjoy working in a cross-functional/DevOps culture.Day To Day responsibilities:

• Senior Software Engineer will collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers
• Write product or system development code
• Produce highly reliable and performant code with appropriate monitoring and alerting
• As a Senior Software Engineer, you will implement the features and user interfaces
• Create efficient and reusable front-end systems
• Identify and resolve performance and scalability issues
• Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency)
• Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback
• Work in a fast-paced Agile environment; This should be second nature (TDD, SCRUM, Kanban, etc.) with evolutionary architecture and prototyping, experience with various databases and configuration/deployment/testing solutions
• Senior Software Engineers perform hands-on participation in team coding, developing interfaces for web applications, services, and future technology
• Perform other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

• BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of experience working with code bases building micro services, REST APIs, GraphQL
• 5+ years of experience modeling data flows between systems to enable transactional workflows and upstream/downstream integrations
• 2+ years of experience building intuitive systems in JavaScript technologies such as React, including concepts like asynchronous programming, closures, types, and ES6
• 2+ years of experience building intuitive systems in JavaScript technologies including concepts like asynchronous programming, closures, types, and ES6
• HTML/CSS experience, including concepts like layout, specificity, cross browser compatibility, and accessibility
• Experience with browser APIs and optimizing front end performance
• Experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases
• Able to analyze, debug and troubleshoot problems in the code

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience working with Cloud technologies (AWS is preferred)
• Experience designing and developing highly scalable web applications
• Experience with full stack development, preferably in one or more of OO programming languages like, C# or Java
• Experience working with cross-browser behaviors and quirks
• Experience with Node.js (Plus)
• Passion for UI; Good sense of usability and design
• Experience working with different teams
• Knowledge with distributed caches (like Redis, memcache, etc.) and Pub/Sub (like Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.)
