Description

The Senior Software Engineer codes software applications based on business requirements. The Senior Software Engineer work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.

Responsibilities

The Senior Software Engineer standardizes the quality assurance procedure for software. Oversees testing and debugging and develops fixes. Researches complaints and makes necessary adjustments and/or recommendations to resolve complex software related issues. Begins to influence department's strategy. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.

The Software Engineer will work closely with the Architect and Product Owner to define, design and deliver new features. The contributions will be towards not just the front and backend development, but additionally test automation/unit testing, etc. The application and components used are used by many enterprise applications to collect user feedback.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
• 3 or more years of experience designing, developing, and testing of software applications and/or infrastructure
• Experience with Visual Studio, Javascript, Node.js, Webpack, Angular 8.0+, .NET Core 3.1+, RESTful APIs, SQL
• Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's Degree, a plus
• Experience with NoSQL/Document Databases - such as MongoDB -
  • Hybrid Document DB with Relational Tables
  • Designing the data models
  • Migrating from SQL to a Document DB
• Cloud-based Development
  • Knowledge on cloud application principals
  • Writing cloud native applications
  • Debugging cloud based applications
  • Azure is preferred but knowledge in GCP or AWS is also good since concepts transfer between the platforms
