The Senior Relationship Manager manages commercial banking relationships for companies with annual sales typically between $20-150MM+ total exposures of $5-30MM+. Companies will primarily be family-owned but also PE-owned, and incumbent needs to be comfortable working with companies who have alternative tranches of capital (e.g., mezzanine financing). The incumbent has overall responsibility for retaining and expanding existing commercial relationships, as well as developing new commercial relationships. This may involve the sale and servicing of credit and non-credit products. The incumbent partners with credit Associates such as Portfolio Managers in the development and analysis of financial background data for new or renewed loans. The position relies on self-generated referral sources (i.e., CPAs, attorneys, investment banks) to develop new opportunities. In collaboration with a dedicated Portfolio Manager, the incumbent will track existing loan portfolio to ensure complete conformity with terms and covenants, monitor and identify developing trends or early warning signs of problem credits, perform timely risk assessment based upon this information, update loan systems and customer credit files with assessments, and perform annual reviews.
