This Senior Value-Based Healthcare Program Manager position is responsible for the Cardiovascular Registry Program / CV Data Registry at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center Temple.

Position is located at Temple, TX > https://www.bswhealth.com/locations/temple/

  • Supports and coordinates employees and resources in the Cardiac Data Registry Department in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws including mentoring, training and directing work efforts.
  • Prioritizes and assigns resources to ensure that all data submission deadlines are met. Perform quarterly reconciliation to ensure database contains the appropriate population of cases.
  • Integrates performance improvement principles into all aspects of job responsibilities. Perform inter-rater reliability studies for abstraction staff to ensure abstraction is accurate and to provide continuing education. Ensure abstraction staff maintains 95% accuracy rate.
  • Coordinates data standardization and data integrity by insuring accuracy, completeness, consistency, validity and timeliness via inspection and routines. Collaborate with others in identifying new and improved ways to distribute data and display findings electronically in order to facilitate access to findings, sharing interpretations, and speed decision-making.
  • Serves as a resource to hospital committees and staff who interface with the data collected. Determine if key findings are adequately documented in the clinical record and make recommendations to the clinical staff.
  • Assists with data abstraction as needed, and may handle other duties as assigned or requested.
  • Creates and maintains robust communication tools and processes for continuous improvement activities.
  • Monitors improvement activities, identifies and evaluates root causes for performance gaps, and recommends strategies for improved outcomes. Tracks and analyzes program performance against project plan to ensure financial return on investment.
  • Applies a wide range of analytical techniques, statistical methods, and/or process and quality improvement tools to drive improvements. Develops methodologies, structures, tools and templates to support best practices in Value-Based Healthcare.


The ideal candidate for the CV Data Registry Program Manager Sr. role will possess:

  • Professional, excellent verbal and written communication skills, analytical thinking, flexibility, reliability, teamwork, integrity, excellent organizational skills;
  • Working knowledge in, and successful application of, healthcare data analysis and clinical review;
  • Ability to multitask, work under pressure, meet deadlines and appropriately prioritize work for self;
  • Ability to effect change, perform critical analysis, promote staff participation and plan and organize effectively for the improvement of clinical outcomes.

QUALIFICATIONS

- EDUCATION - 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Sciences, Healthcare Informatics

- EXPERIENCE - A minimum of 7 years’ experience required; preferred experience includes:

  • 3 years Clinical work in relevant acute care setting
  • 1 year with Data Management and Analysis
  • 1 year with Clinical chart review and abstraction experience
  • 1 year with Quality/Performance improvement
