Sr. IT Network Engineer/Architect - Hybrid Onsite

Innova Solutions is looking for an experienced Sr. IT Network Engineer/Architect - Hybrid Onsite to support our client in Egan MN. This role with provide hands on Network Engineer and the potential to re-architect the enterprise environment.

• This position's main responsibilities will be responsible for SDWAN (Meraki) and Network Security/Firewalls (Palo Alto) as well as provide support as needed during escalations - overall project to modernize network
• Implementing firewalls - Palo Alto/Panorama
• This position will start out 1-2 times/week onsite in Egan MN, but will have more flexibility once accepted to the project
• This is a 6 month contract to hire, candidates must be able to work w2 and no C2C candidates will be considered
• Job will require successful completion of background and drug test (drug test will include THC)

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Provide technical direction and support related to the enterprise network structure.
• Collaborate with external and internal customers to analyze and validate the information needs and functional requirements.
• Protecting the environment by coordinating, planning and implementing network security measures.
• Work with technology vendors to provide solutions that are effective for the enterprise.
• Provide technical leadership for deployment and support teams.
• Monitoring network performance to determine if adjustments need to be made.
• Ensure stability in the production environment - before, during, and after system changes.
• Develop and maintain effective cross functional working relationships with business and IT teams
• Provide 3rd level support as needed.
• Flexibility to work varied schedules, including occasionally outside of normal business hours.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Strong understanding of Network security and Firewalls
• Experience in Network Segmentation
• Knowledge of SDWAN technologies (Meraki)
• Serve as subject matter expert for company initiatives that require guidance with network requirements.
• Enterprise level networking knowledge with multiple locations distributed throughout the country.
• Ability to create accurate network diagrams and documentation for design and planning network systems.
• High Level of understanding and demonstrated ability in various network routing protocols
• Configuring firewalls, routing, switching and wireless to maximize network efficiency and security.
• Firewall experience including design and implementation.
• Strong work ethic, demonstrated self-starter, ability to work in a team-oriented environment, with strong verbal and written communication skills.

• SDWAN - Meraki
• Wired/Wireless - Aruba
• Management/Software - Aruba Central/ClearPass
• Firewalls - Palo Alto

Education / Experience:

• Bachelors in IT networking, or other closely related engineering field or the equivalent amount of related work experience.
• 8+ years as a Network Engineer with responsibility in Firewall, LAN, WAN technologies

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:
