Sr Manager II - Finance, CAPEX and Workforce Management

The Asset and Strategic Investment team works across Walmart US and global partners blending strategy and finance helping the organization nimbly invest, prioritize, and monitor the end-to-end portfolio performance, including digital capabilities, capital investments, overhead and key strategic resources.
What you'll do...
You will lead capital management and/or headcount investment activities for WM US. Your position is driven by an intellectual curiosity, an unfaltering interest in helping your business partners to achieve their objectives, bringing a portfolio investment management point of view on the table while demonstrating outstanding detail-orientation and ability to connect dots and drive and influence process change. Collaborative across a matrix organization and comfort working in ambiguous situations will be important.
Key Responsibilities
Support organization on building and maintaining standardized portfolio management approach, lead efforts towards data integration and system modernization, with vision of achieving a best-in-class investment management process across digital, capital, overhead, and material strategic decisions. This role will specifically drive capital process including facilitating key approvals. review and analyze business cases and partner cross functionally across business, finance, accounting, and other teams to understand benefits, risks and opportunities.
Facilitate decisions that optimize the financial performance of the company, including financing, capital and resource allocation, and return on investment. Enable WM US leaders to make data-driven investment decisions, acting as trusted advisor linking our investment and asset performance to strategic priorities, key drivers and financial expectations, supporting the company's efforts towards strategic growth as well as ongoing operations.
Be an inspirational champion of data for and establish a foundational data culture for the team
Be the end-to-end owner of large datasets and use data visualization, storytelling, and financial acumen skills to surface actionable insights that solve complex business problems and shape the future of retail and retail media.
Develop an ecosystem of high-impact, automated, reports
Collaborate with transformation and analytics to accelerate adoption of AI based and advanced business case modelling with focus on developing a predictive and connected pipeline and portfolio support, informed by artificial intelligence, machine learning and other digital capabilities as well as creating untapped value.
Support compliance with focus on appropriate and frictionless risk management. Liaise with internal audit and compliance teams and establish network with international and local business units to share and develop best practices.
Minimum Qualifications
5+ years of experience, retail / ecommerce / technology / corporate finance business intelligence and / or analytics experience
preferred
Proven track record of delivering results in a fast-paced retail / technology environment with high levels of ambiguity
Public company experience, supporting capex portfolio analytics, financial valuation techniques & governance
Understanding of capital lifecycle
Expert proficiency in all facets of Power BI
Demonstrated ability to think strategically and creatively while applying sound business judgment and quantitative analytics
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in dynamic resource allocation and strategic asset management
System architecture and integration design, data analytics, data visualization
Strong experience managing portfolios, with exposure to corporate finance concepts
Proven experience demonstrating influencing skills, supporting investment analysis and trade-off decisions
Experience with data pipeline design, master data management, reporting, data warehousing, data modeling, and table design
