TheSenior ProductManager ofMarketing Data Sharing, Governanceand DPS is aproductlead role that owns the principles, processes, and impact of sharing customer data for the purposes of paid marketing activation and optimization.You are a key voice on multiple initiatives close to our organization's heart, including customer privacy, preserving Walmart's proprietary data assets and owning the data sharing process to enable our growth outcomes. Reporting to the Director of Product for the Marketing Data Horizontal, Affiliates and DPS, you'll sit at the intersection of cutting-edge technology and marketing innovation in achieving our objectives and will lead our journey into the privacy-first advertising universe.

Role requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, Communications, or related field and 6 + years' experience in product management, project management, management consulting, retail or eCommerce business functions. MBA preferred.

  • Deep understanding of product management as a practice and experience with running product scrums with engineers and data scientists.
  • Domain expertise in marketing channels like Display and Paid Social advertising with prior experience in leveraging marketing APIs to manage and optimize campaigns at scale.
  • Well versed in various methods of data sharing including API based server-to-server integrations, implementing site tags, tag management systems like Google Tag Manager, mobile SDKs etc.
  • Comfortable working with partners on the minutiae of tagging and data sharing, including reading API documentation and developing a well-rounded understanding of which customer data to share with partners.
  • Awareness of how customer data is used in marketing optimization to develop the MVP data sharing integrations that support optimization models employed by the advertising ecosystem.

  • Knowledge of key marketing and growth metrics and good understanding of the end-to-end mechanics of ad trafficking campaigns to assess the impact of data sharing integrations through marketing analytics and experimentation.
  • Knowledge of major industry initiatives and regulations in consumer privacy and data protection.
  • Familiarity with concepts of marketing attribution, and lift measurement techniques from major ad platforms.
  • Confident and comfortable with writing detailed implementation requirements and guiding engineers to project completion.
  • Skilled at diplomacy and aligning stakeholders with competing priorities, including senior leaders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set the vision, roadmap, and direction for the Customer Data sharing and Display and Paid Social roadmap.
  • Perform data governance and ensure consumer privacy to reduce Walmart's customer data sharing footprint to preserve our strategic competitiveness.

  • Lead planning and prioritization of projectsin the above realmsto achievemarketing goals.
  • Work with marketers to understand data sharing requirements to launch new campaigns.
  • Enable data sharing integrations with ad platforms, MMPs, and reporting partners.
  • Work closely with Walmart and partner engineers to manage implementation cycles and ensure robust integrations are tested, validated and monitored.
  • Be comfortable looking at reporting dashboards to debug any data sharing issues. Work closely with Marketing Analytics and Marketing Data Science organizations to enable measurement techniques that can quantify the value of sharing customer data with ad platforms.

  • Represent the team withthe advertising ecosystemandperformance marketing leadershipto alignonprioritizationand develop cases for resourcing.

The annual salary range for this position is $144,000.00-$216,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.

Additional compensation for certain positions may also include:

- Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location)

- Stock equity incentives
