Job Description Summary:
Our Change Communications Center of Excellence team develops effective communications strategies to guide employees and leaders through current change and toward the company's future vision, as well as to address external stakeholders' needs in relation to a change initiative. As a Senior Manager on this team, you will be responsible for developing and driving comprehensive change-communication plans for multiple initiatives and rolling up your sleeves to execute those plans.

In order to deliver on our mission to democratize financial services and maintain our strategic health as a company, we need to constantly evolve to meet the changing needs of our customers and employees - and to lead within our sector and our ecosystem. We're in the business of change, and our Change Communications Center of Excellence (CoE) team develops effective communications strategies to guide employees and leaders through current change and toward the company's future vision, as well as to address external stakeholders' needs in relation to a change initiative. We are an in-house consulting team that supports partners with consistent and clear communication approaches and expert implementation - proactively employing effective communication techniques to help PayPal evolve. As a Senior Manager on this team, you will be responsible for developing and driving comprehensive change-communication plans for multiple initiatives and rolling up your sleeves to execute those plans. We are looking for a communication expert who can also develop trust with and maintain strong relationships with senior leadership, identify risks and develop mitigation strategies, and bring a fresh perspective in helping employees understand the company's direction and why change will help reach desired business outcomes.

What you will do:
  • Strategize ongoing methods for building a consistent understanding of PayPal's direction and priorities, as well as building a culture of evolution
  • Design change communications strategies and plans that align to larger organizational goals; prepare communications assets; manage multiple initiatives at the same time
  • Provide counsel and direction on internalandexternal change communications needs
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key internal stakeholders within the business and functions, as well as with change-management teams across PayPal
  • Provide strategic counsel on employee change impacts and advise on potential internal and external risks and mitigation strategies
  • Consult and coach project teams on employee communications strategy, resistance, and risks
  • Facilitate learning within the Change Communications CoE and across partner groups, including providing recommendations for continuous improvement on processes and methodologies
  • Build a network of contacts across the company to keep a pulse on employee sentiment

Qualities of the right candidate for this role:
  • 5-8 years of change communications experience with internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience with large-scale organizational change efforts, preferably in a global setting
  • Passionate about the power of communications to affect lasting change while also enriching the organization's culture
  • Has a view that encompasses the entire ecosystem, not only the parameters of the change initiative
  • Ability to build strategic working relationships; has exceptionalinterpersonal communication skills
  • Executive presence; comfortable working closely with, and providing counsel to, senior leaders
  • Emotional maturity to influence and drive alignment, demonstrating a strong understanding of organizational issues and challenges
  • Loves to write and can adjust voice, tone, and style to suit the need
  • Comfortable in ambiguous situations in fast-paced environments
  • Enjoys a team environment where collaboration is the norm
