Job Description:
ECS is seeking a passionate and driven Senior Management Consultant that leans technical with a background in creating both business and technical processes based off industry best practices, customer requirements, and gap analysis. The position is on a Project Management Office team that supports a federal client overseeing multiple programs. The ideal candidate is a critical thinker and perpetual learner; excited to gain exposure and build skillsets across a range of technologies while ensuring our clients have efficient, enforceable processes to follow as they deliver results.

As a Senior Management Consultant, you will establish an understanding of customer organizations, processes, goals and objectives to define their future state and the path to get them there. This will include the ability to perform gap analysis, SME interviews, and research to determine current processes and how they can be best optimized. You will support across multiple projects program with requirements analysis, technical solution design, and implementation. In addition, the ability to break down complicated technical concepts for business stakeholders to understand is vital.
In this role, you will coordinate and collaborate with Architects, Engineers, Analysts, and Stakeholders to define current processes and identify the potential for new processes. In addition, you'll need to be comfortable presenting these process models (and justifying their existence) to Senior Leadership.

Responsibilities include:

  • Meeting with customers, subject matter experts, and engineers to discuss the requirements of necessary processes targeted for creation or improvement
  • Gathering data through interviews, research, and industry best practices to identify process improvements or gaps
  • Designing workflow and process strategies that target stakeholder's ultimate goal (such as business performance, customer experience, technical efficiency, etc)
  • Creating Standard Operating Procedures, Visio Diagrams, technical documentation, and other artifacts to capture, teach, and communicate new processes
  • Support platform monitoring, maintenance, performance optimization and configuration management functions across applications and toolsets
  • Support requirements elicitation and analysis, business case development, analysis of alternatives, and the development of recommendations for cloud migration, platform optimization, and data analytics capability development
  • Provide internal client service, serving as a lead point of contact for technical analysis initiatives and solutions for projects
  • Assess the technical needs of a project throughout its lifecycle, and support key technical decisions about the solutions to be implemented
  • Foster collaboration with analysts, designers, and/or developers on research activities, strategy sessions, ideation, design, and product testing
  • Facilitate meetings, workshops, and discussions with our team and clients to help us find balance between user wants, client needs, technical level of effort, and timelines

Required Skills:
  • BS degree in Computer Science or related IT field/equivalent experience
  • 7+ years of IT experience as a business analyst, with a focus in creation and documentation of business and technical processes
  • Experience handling multiple tasks, changing priorities, and a fast-paced customer environment
  • Experience with Visio and Atlassian Tools
  • Excellent communication, and presentation skills with the demonstrated ability to communicate across all levels of the organization and communicate technical terms to non-technical audiences with an impeccable attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to adequately plan and meet delivery objectives and maintain adequate service levels in highly dynamic, complex environment

Desired Skills:
  • Experience with DHS and knowledge of DHS standards a plus
  • Demonstrated experience translating business and technical requirements into comprehensive data strategies and analytic solutions
  • Certifications in one or more cloud computing platforms (Azure, AWS, etc) (or experience working with Cloud platforms)
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies
