Dow has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Maintenance Technician - E&I in Hayward, CA.

You would be part of an experienced team providing maintenance craft-specific support to plants. You would collaborate on the maintenance and repairs all types of equipment within craft knowledge and expertise. You would participate on the maintenance team which supports reliability improvement across all Operations facilities. Utilizing your proficiency in a range of technical, operational, or analytical/scientific processes and procedures through job-related training and considerable on the job experience to perform a variety of work assignments.


Responsibilities:

  • Enables the people who manage and/or perform work in the field with the tools and information needed to perform their job effectively and efficiently
  • Electrical work on 120 - 480 V equipment, breakers and motor control centers
  • Troubleshooting and resolving instrument maintenance issues
  • Requires full proficiency in a range of technical, operational, or analytical/scientific processes and procedures through job-related training and considerable on the job experience to perform a variety of work assignments
  • Acts as an informal resource for team members with less experience

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Must be 18 years old or older
  • Must have a current, valid US driver's license to drive a forklift. Forklift is used to move spare parts and equipment to job locations
  • A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process

Willing and able to meet physical demands of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations:

* Wear safety equipment, such as earplugs, goggles, and steel-toed shoes
* Wear and use respirators
* Perform frequent bending, reaching, and lifting
* Work in tight or closed-in spaces
* Climb stairs/ladders and work high off the ground
* Stand or walk for extended periods of time

Your preferred qualifications include:

  • Licensed electrician

Your skills, knowledge, and abilities include:

* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Good interpersonal skills are required
* Must have strong multi-tasking, problem solving and time management skills
* Demonstrate leadership skills - inspire others and lead them through influence
* A self-starter who can identify, prioritize and accomplish multiple tasks
* Must be able to read, write, and speak English

  • No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process

  • This role does involve elevated work greater than or equal to four feet above the ground
