The Instructional Designer is responsible for designing learning experiences that solve business problems through the thoughtful combination of communications, eLearning, instructor-led training, performance support and other interventions. They ensure that high-quality, innovative, and effective learning solutions are designed, developed, and delivered by different teams in a timely manner to satisfy business needs.
Engage with stakeholders from different parts of the business to rapidly analyze their needs and design high-level learning solutions that may include a range of low, medium and high-fidelity learning interventions
Plan, coordinate, and develop support materials and communications for divisional and/or corporate projects.
Report project statuses to various levels of management.
Develop performance-based training and development systems to meet operational needs and requirements.
Develop cross-trainings for various employees to carry out job functions.
Support department, divisional and corporate goals.
Represent department and division as requested on work groups and special assignments.
Establish and meet deadlines and reporting requirements.
Conduct a need analysis to design and develop materials to support training and end-users for projects, implementations & initiatives for internal, external and self-service customers.
Interact with customer and subject matter experts to ensure technical accuracy of instructional content.
Work closely with subject matter experts (SME's) to ensure quality content is developed.
Evaluate documentation/training systems to ensure effectiveness.
Maintain current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.
