Compensation Range
Hourly: $22.60 - $26.70 (Amount based on relevant experience, skills, and competencies.)

About This Job

Primary responsibilities will include processing security pledging, 1099 documents and facilitating pledge agreements for Capital Market client accounts. In addition, candidate will cross train on the other desks related to Commerce Trust and Capital Markets Accounting team, including wire processing, issuing checks, cash balancing, reconciliation, and mail distribution as well as, cross training on Supervisory monthly reporting responsibilities, including budget reporting, Performance Metric tracking and providing day to day assistance to the team. Candidate will also assist with special projects as assigned by the management team.

Essential Functions

  • Facilitate pledge agreements when a customer establishes new public entity
  • Create and send month end reports to state treasurers
  • Receive and review month files sent from Wall Street Concepts
  • Serve as Subject Matter Expert for Capital Markets 1099 reporting
  • Create and send credit advices, maturity notice, custody receipts and confirms
  • Monitor Internal resource mailbox and disperse appropriately
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required
  • Intermediate knowledge of the banking industry, including best practices
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to learn new processes quickly and process moderately complex transaction independently
  • Ability to learn and understand Commerce systems, platforms, and products
  • Ability to be proactive and ask questions, offer solutions, and retain and apply information to future situations
  • Proven ability to complete higher complexity processes
  • Ability to work on special projects and assignments independently or is a group
  • Motivated and organized self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Inquisitive, agile, and strong team player with excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to remain adaptable and resilient to all situations with an optimistic outlook and cast a positive shadow that is aligned with our culture and Core Values
  • Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams and Outlook

Education & Experience
  • Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required
  • 4+ years' experience in securities cashiering/bond, safekeeping, brokerage, trust operations or previous customer service in banking or other financial fields required
  • 1+ years experience with InTrader Bond Trading system, Bloomberg, Wall Street Concepts, FIS Accounting system required
