PURPOSE:

Finance business partner support for Technical Operations management team. This position is responsible for supporting the Technical Operations Finance team in the preparation of all financial, accounting, operational, and internal control information to support meeting or exceeding established value stream goals within transportation, warehousing, procurement, and global sourcing.



ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


* Prepare financial deliverables associated with month-end close, forecasting, annual planning and financial reviews with business partners.
* Provide timely and accurate information on business partner teams’ operational performance, financial performance, and for company scorecards.
* Compile and analyze company-wide data (specific to transportation, warehousing, procurement, and global sourcing) from multiple systems to identify cost trends and provide required explanations.
* Conduct cost studies or scenario analysis to quantify financial impacts to the organization.
* Maintain financial accuracy and internal control over inventory residing in off-site warehouses, including identify and properly account for slow moving or obsolete inventory across the company.
* Establish processes and procedures to ensure internal control compliance within material warehousing facilities.
* Prepare Authorization for Expenditures, conduct post-completion audits, and track expenditures against approval.
* Work to build bench-strength in the Technical Operations Finance organization through information sharing, training initiatives, mentoring, and coaching.
* Collaborate with all areas and departments in the organization on identifying and executing continuous improvement opportunities.
* Actively participate or lead team projects as assigned.





SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position typically supervises 1-3 exempt employees.



QUALIFICATIONS:


* Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Supply Chain or related field.
* Minimum of four years of financial experience in logistics, supply chain or manufacturing is required.
* Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills.
* Experience working in teams and in a cross-functional environment.
* Ability to communicate complex analysis in a simple way.
* Excellent computer skills and Microsoft products experience required. Expert Excel preferred. MS Access, EDW, Power BI, JDE and/or Oracle experience a plus.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Typical office environment. The noise level is usually low. Moderate travel can be expected.
