Job Responsibilities
Pennoni Associates is currently looking for a __________ with experience consistent, but not limited to:
 

  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineers and technical staff.
  • Lead and manage complex engineering tasks and projects.
  • Actively pursues work from new and existing clients by building and maintaining customer relationships, monitoring future work opportunities, communicating regularly, attending client events, developing proposals, and directly negotiating with clients.
  • Works with Management to develop annual productivity and profitability goals for Division including staffing, utilization, project profitability, and overhead budgets.
  • Monitors Division performance monthly versus goals.
  • Develops corrective action plans as needed.
  • Actively supports corporate mission, goals, strategies, policies, and procedures.
  • Promotes effective communication and collaboration across PENNONI.
  • Participates in creating and administering company policies and developing long-range goals as directed.
  • Delivers scope, schedule, budget, quality, and profitability of all projects managed.
  • Demonstrates expertise in the development of project schedules, cost budgets, and understanding and analysis of the financial data.
  • Works closely with Project Accounting Staff to monitor and control project cost and billings to meet budget profit, analyze project performance data weekly, and develop recovery plans as needed.
  • Technical work is reviewed only to the effectiveness of results obtained, typically requiring a long-term perspective.
  • Demonstrated mastery of fundamental project management skills and use of PM advanced techniques and practices to increase productivity, efficiency, and accuracy.
Required Attributes
    • Minimum 12+ years of relevant work experience with experience in traffic, structures, or roadway design (includes experience with ODOT, municipalities, developers, etc.)
    • PE Ohio license required
    • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering discipline is required
    • Experience on state agency projects is preferred, including familiarity with agency project management and project approval processes
    • Possess leadership qualities and excellent verbal communication and written skills, including experience in public meeting settings, meeting organization and documentation.
