Do you enjoy planning strategy and teaching others how to bring it to life? As the Senior Director, Sales Effectiveness at C.H. Robinson, you will lead our talented and diverse Sales Operations team to build a cohesive global services approach; tell a compelling story of the value we bring to customers and showcase our advanced sales enablement technology tools. In this position, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact for our customers and our organization.

This position reports to James Santy, Vice President Sales Operations and can be located anywhere in the continental United States.

Our main priority continues to be the health and safety of our employees. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this position will be remote until further notice

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the sales content strategy for C.H. Robinson by partnering with cross-functional leadership.
  • Deployed sales enablement technology to help sales and account managers deliver the technology narrative into the marketplace in all applicable ways to impact our business
  • Train and coach our teams to deliver the technology narrative using the sales enablement technology.
  • Evolve our commercial learning strategy to incorporate with our content strategy and enablement tool
  • Catalogue and capture existing customer facing technology's impact and value to our customer base
  • Launch new customer facing technologies and ensure we create value to the customer, activate our networks and deliver an effective message
  • Create short and long term strategic business plans and
  • Utilize analytics; identify gaps and leverage resources and technology to improve efficiency, productivity and financial results
  • Manage relationships with current customers ranging from small companies to large multi-national organizations
  • Partner with PR team on effective and consistent messaging on our current and future products to our customers
  • Nurture long-term partnerships with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Develops strong knowledge of industry trends and market opportunities
  • Monitor performance against financial goals, cost and ROI projections review progress regularly
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition to recruit, select and onboard qualified and diverse talent
  • Manage team performance and development through ongoing performance management, coaching and feedback, mentoring and training and developmental tools
  • Manage reward and recognition strategies, including compensation and bonus administration implementing other employee recognition activities
  • Review employee engagement measures and implement action plans to improve team engagement

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university

  • Minimum of 10 years' professional experience in sales and/or account management

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience developing and delivering sales content

  • Minimum of 5 years' direct people management experience
