Job Summary

Galapagos Federal Systems LLC is looking for an enthusiastic, well-qualified individual to fill the Senior Director of Growth and Development position and to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals.

As the Senior Director of Growth and Development, you will play a pivotal role in driving strategic initiatives aimed at expanding the organization's market presence, revenue streams, and overall growth trajectory. You will lead a team dedicated to identifying, evaluating, and executing opportunities for business expansion, partnership development, and revenue optimization. This position requires a visionary leader with a proven track record of driving sustainable growth, fostering innovation, and cultivating strategic relationships.

Job Requirements:

Skills / Experience Required

  • 15+ years of progressive experience in business development, strategic planning, or related roles, with a focus on driving growth and expansion
Strategic Planning
  • Develop and execute comprehensive growth strategies aligned with organizational objectives and market dynamics
  • Identify emerging trends, market opportunities, and competitive threats to inform strategic decision-making
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to define long-term growth targets and milestones
  • Business Expansion:
  • Identify and evaluate opportunities for geographic expansion, market diversification, and new product/service offerings.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in assessing market feasibility, conducting market research, and developing go-to-market strategies.
  • Drive initiatives to penetrate new market segments and capitalize on emerging trends.
  • Partnership Development:
  • Cultivate and nurture strategic partnerships, alliances, and collaborations with key stakeholders, industry partners, and external organizations
  • Negotiate partnership agreements, joint ventures, and strategic alliances to enhance the organization's capabilities and market reach.
  • Leverage partnerships to drive revenue growth, innovation, and competitive advantage
  • Revenue Optimization:
  • Develop and implement initiatives to optimize revenue streams, improve profitability, and maximize return on investment
  • Analyze pricing strategies, customer segmentation, and product/service mix to drive revenue growth and enhance margins
  • Identify opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, and value-added services to existing customers
Team Leadership
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing team of growth and development professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and innovation
  • Provide strategic guidance, coaching, and professional development opportunities to team members
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment that encourages creativity, initiative, and accountability
  • Proven track record of successfully leading and executing growth strategies in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Strong business acumen, analytical skills, and strategic thinking ability
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and inspire cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders
  • Experience in partnership development, negotiation, and contract management
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a complex, ambiguous environment and drive results through collaboration and teamwork
  • Previous experience in a senior leadership role is highly desirable
Education / Certifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Marketing, Finance, or related field
  • Master's degree (preferred)

Security Clearance

Must be a U.S. Citizen. A high-level Department of Defense active security clearance may be required. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to government information.

Physical Requirements

Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time and typing and reading from a computer screen. The candidate must have enough mobility, including bending, reaching, and kneeling, to complete daily duties in a prompt and efficient manner and that may include lifting to thirty pounds, as necessary.
