What You Will Be Doing Prepare detailed plans, construction drawings, shop drawings and other documents for the fabrication and erection of steel buildings. Detail large jobs with multiple buildings and complex connections.
What You Need for this Position Prepare detailed plans, construction drawings, shop drawings and other documents for the fabrication and erection of steel buildings. Detail large jobs with multiple buildings and complex connections.

Essential Functions:
1. Prepare erection drawings, which are used to guide the steel erector in the field (show dimensional plans to locate steel members).
2. Prepare shop drawings, showing the exact requirements for fabricating each individual member of a structure.
3. Calculate placement and quantities of welded components.
4. Determine correct size and locations of holes for bolted components.
5. Prepare shipping documents. Inventory all members required for each completed project.
6. Produce assembly drawings to be used by the shop to fabricate all structural members required.
7. Create web drawings that will be input into the CNC plasma table to cut all webs for built-up members.
8. Upload final documents for purchasing and inventory control.
9. Assist in training and assisting others as needed.

What's In It for You Compensation: $20 - $32 per hour DOE
