About the Role

The Data Modeler will be responsible for the design, build, and deployment of tabular data models on a semantic data layer. This individual will leverage modern performance tuning techniques, conceptual schemas, and modern technology to transform 10's of millions of rows of raw data to high-performing structured models that empower our internal customers to be data-driven. This individual will be accountable to identify, define, protect, and manage data from its raw form to its consumption and work with product teams, data analysts, data scientists, and technology teams in driving data-related strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform as a technical data steward - understanding tables, data use, data replication, data connection, and data lineage - and take accountability for data hygiene.

• Design, build, and deploy tabular data models on semantic data layer (SSAS/AAS)
• Review existing data models and recommend changes to optimize data requirements.
• Manage the strategy for people data systems by prioritizing enhancements; ensuring alignment of customer business strategy with system enhancements; and reviewing and approving implementation plans

• Responsible for improving data quality
  • Define business data quality rules
  • Define data quality metrics and thresholds for people domain
  • Prioritize issues to remediate

• Prioritize data source needs across products and work with Global Data Product Leads to deliver required data for consumption in production or by self-service portals, dashboards and analytics tools
• Confirm the source of truth and data source development required for new use cases/data initiatives, including third party data acquisition
• Seek out, implement, and evangelize best practices internally and to external data stewardship community events

Option 1: Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Arts, Finance or related field and 2 years' experience in data analysis, data science, statistics, or related field. Option 2: Master's degree in Business, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field. Option 3: 4 years' experience in data analysis, data science, statistics, or related field.
