Senior Compensation Consulting Analyst

  • You will be a resource to all clients, both external and internal, for support and completion of market pricing and data analysis assignments
  • You will support activities related to job matching/benchmarking (explain methodology and assist in matching some positions for the client as examples), determining cost of labor for various locations, creation of reports, accessing and interpreting our data, and working with colleagues on client participation needs
  • You will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of data and compensation systems

We will count on you to:
  • Conduct moderately complex domestic and international job pricing assignments for Mercer consultants and clients
  • Handle client interactions regarding market pricing upon request
  • Manage/manipulate data, and conduct research on compensation-related issues
  • Adhere to established standards and procedures in executing market-pricing projects
  • Accurately scope out length and difficulty of tasks and projects; set objectives and goals; break down work into the process steps; anticipate and adjust for problems and roadblocks
  • Create and prepare both domestic and international geographic differentials for clients and projects
  • Assist in the administration and support of our MarketPay On-Line Pricing System
  • Understand talent management trends, pay practices and policies for a particular client and within the broader marketplace
  • Assist with other projects as assigned

What you need to have:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
  • Minimum 2 years of compensation experience
  • Prior experience in compensation, human resources, consulting, or a related function
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Access, Word, Outlook)
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality of client information
  • Strong analytical, research, and problem solving skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex topics and interact with all levels of employees and clients

What makes you stand out:
  • Experience with on-line compensations systems
  • General understanding of compensation theory and practice (typically acquired through CCP coursework of the American Compensation Association and/or through on-the-job training)
