Position Summary

The Capacity Management team is a vital group in our organization that is responsible for helping get the right provider with the right patient at the right time. The Senior Business Analyst will focus on leveraging technology to improve and standardize business processes for scheduling, check-in, check-out, referrals, automated reminders, and other patient access workflows. In addition to developing best practices in these areas, the Business Systems Analyst will help identify and monitor the success of project initiatives through data analysis and will serve as the expert in designing, building, and maintaining of templates within Epic for Ambulatory Clinics and Departments. This Senior Analyst needs to work efficiently independently while maintaining a positive attitude.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Masters advanced template functions and serves as subject matter expert on template edits and builds.
  • Identify which metrics are best used to answer given questions or monitor ongoing issues.
  • Leverage knowledge of Cadence and other access applications to work with other teams to develop queries, dashboards, and reports.
  • Interpret both quantitative and qualitative data to form recommendations on how to change, leverage, or implement available software functionality and the corresponding work effort.
  • Supporting the design, implementation, support, and optimization of the Epic enterprise Electronic Health Record (EHR).
  • Collecting information from departments, clinicians, health workers, vendors, and internal and external customers regarding electronic system development, implementation, issues, recommendations, and utilization of best practices.
  • Translating functional requirements into application builds.
  • Motivates, leads, and shares knowledge with team.
  • Communicating effectively both orally and in writing with a diverse set of clients.
  • Establishing and maintaining good working relations with department personnel, staff, vendors, peers, and management.
  • Serves as the liaison between internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop project plans, including implementation and evaluation of projects.
  • Assemble and lead workgroups and other meetings to determine build requirements and develop workflows within Cadence and/or other access software applications.
  • Provide summaries, updates, and reports to stakeholders, manager, and team members as needed.
  • Document build standards and processes for functionality, including why decisions were made.
  • Prepare and lead presentations via webinars, leadership meetings, and operational meetings.
  • Troubleshooting issues and questions for submitted requests, templates, Qgenda and Divergent ticketing system.
  • Clearly documenting work and adhering to change control procedures.
Qualifications

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
  • Master's degree is preferred
  • Certification in or proficiency with Epic Cadence is preferred.
Experience
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft business tools: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
