We have an opportunity for a Senior Forensic Mechanical Engineer. Curiosity, engineering excellence, and solid writing skills are required for this position. You will have the opportunity to lead investigations in the built environment and other environments such as industrial and transportation. You will be supported in this role by a diverse team ranging from entry-level engineers to senior management.

Position Description

We will provide you the opportunity to manage projects independently, manage junior engineers, and interact independently with clients. We will support you in business development activities such as conferences and business development events.

You will be working directly with a wide variety of clients, including insurance adjustment teams, building owners, and attorneys, on a wide range of investigations. These investigations will vary and include:

• Field investigations
• Property Assessment and Analysis
• Extent and Scope of Damage
• Cause of Damage
• Building Code Analysis
• Construction Defect
• Professional Standard of Care
  

You will be called to serve as an expert witness in various scenarios, including depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Physics
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the least one jurisdiction and the ability to obtain licensure in others.
• Ability to clearly express engineering opinions and conclusions and support the same with facts and sound scientific principles.
• Ability to work collaboratively with other disciplines, meet deadlines, and travel to work sites.
