Job Description Summary / TWC Summary:

Under general supervision greets and services office visitors. First point of contact for clients. Schedules and updates appointments.

Essential Duties Summary:

  • Provides administrative support to the Counseling Center Assist with communications between students, Counselors, Staff and Director. Scheduling of intake and regular appointments with Counselors and order all office supplies, promotional items and reference material.
  • Monitors budget activities and creating any requisition for office. First point of contact for the Counseling Center inquiries from other external and internal contacts including answering the phone.
  • Attends office meetings.
  • Contacts students from referral forms submitted day to day administrative procedures and processes.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Hiring Range:

$20.181155 - $25.2261


Some college or Associate's degree (A.A.) and/or vocational or technical school and/or specialized training or certification.

Bachelor's degree preferred.

Required Licensing/Certification:


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Knowledge of:

  • Policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Microsoft Office Professional or similar application.

Skill in:
  • Detail oriented.
  • Effective customer service.
  • Multitasking and time management.
  • Writing documents.
  • Both verbal and written communication.
Ability to:
  • Monitor standard filing systems.
Work Experience:

One (1) to three (3) years of related experience.

Working/Environmental Conditions:

  • Routine office environment.
  • Sitting or standing in one location much of the time.
  • Some stooping, lifting or carrying objects of light weight may be required.
  • Use of video display terminal.
