RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client in Tampa, FL that is seeking a Senior Accountant.Duties/Responsibilities:

• The Senior Accountant establishes internal controls and guidelines for accounting transactions, GL, Journal Entries
• Oversees preparation of business activity reports, financial forecasts, and annual budgets
• Month End close - hands on
• The Senior Accountant oversees the production of periodic financial reports; ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or financial reporting standards
• Focus on: JE postings; Account reconciliations
• Focus on: Financial Reporting (especially in the below areas): Fixed Assets; Goodwill/Intangibles; Leasing (ASC 842); Prepaid, Insurance, etc.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Excellent computer skills on MS Office
• Excellent knowledge and experience with accounting software and databases
• Ability to multitask
• Understanding and knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations
• Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on company's success
• Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
