The ACLU's Product amp;amp; Technology team partners with departments across the ACLU in order to build and maintain innovative, robust and secure digital products and technical systems that accelerate the ACLU's mission as our nationwide guardian of rights and liberties. We are a team of engineers, designers, product managers and administrators who take pride in creating technical solutions that help raise money, get our message out in the world, mobilize our supporters and manage our data with integrity.

The ACLU seeks a full-time position of Salesforce Admin II, Jr Developeramp;nbsp;in the Product and Technology of the ACLU's National office in New York, NY/Remote.

Reporting to the Associate Director, Product Management, the Salesforce Admin II, Jr Developer is an experienced Salesforce Admin with demonstrated success administering a Salesforce instance with over 400 users in a federated nationwide system. Additionally, the candidate will have Salesforce development experience, or a strong interest in growing their skills as a Salesforce developer. The Salesforce Admin will work to enhance the ACLU's usage of Salesforce through an 'Admin First Approach' guiding the team toward solutions that can be configured and iterated upon. This role will primarily work in a team with a Product Manager and another Salesforce Admin, the Support and Donor Data teams, and third party vendor teams to meet the advocacy, fundraising, communications, and programmatic needs of the nationwide organization. They will regularly communicate with a cross-functional set of stakeholders in other departments to ensure their needs are being met.amp;nbsp;
RESPONSIBILITIES

Hands-on Salesforce Administration

  • Interact with stakeholders to gather requirements, scope projects, and lead testing for on-platform Salesforce enhancements and bug fixes
  • Execute and manage small and medium size projects with internal and vendor teams independently
  • Perform Salesforce administrative functions, such as the creation and configuration of users, custom objects, fields, reports, triggers, etc
  • Develop and maintain user permissions structure through user roles, profiles, groups, and security settings
  • Debug complex technical issues, delivering appropriate immediate fixes amp;amp; long-term solutions
  • Work with a team of vendor engineers using best-in-class product development processes
  • Uphold defined business practices and a high standard in data quality and integrity
  • Be an autonomous problem solver - strive for answers independently, but know when it's time to ask for help, who to ask, and what to ask
  • Serve as an in-house Salesforce expert

Support
  • Own tier 2 support queue, serving as subject matter expert and escalating issues as needed
  • Exhibit strong customer empathy in identifying and building solutions to address user needs and enhance usability through updated page layouts, workflow rules, and processes
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex functional issues and user entry issues
  • Update and maintain Salesforce system documentation
  • Demonstrate excellent organizational and communication skills (written, spoken and presentation-forms)
  • Develop an understanding of ACLU and fundraising specific business processes

Development
  • Perform declarative development through the creation of flows, processes, and validation rules
  • Implement functional tests for security configurations and automated processes
  • Perform minor bug fixes and enhancements
  • Facilitate deployments of field, data, and user interface changes
  • Develop custom pages and functionality with Visualforce or Lightning web components

EXPERIENCE amp;amp; QUALIFICATIONS

  • Current Salesforce Administrator Certification
  • A solid understanding of Salesforce's technical and functional capabilities, and the interest in staying atop of Salesforce updates
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills working with a cross-functional set of stakeholders (support, training, end users, product managers, and developers)
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Salesforce objects, fields, page layouts, workflows, process builder, validation rules, permissions, roles, reports, dashboards, and logical formulas
  • Experience with Data Loader or data integration
  • Experience working with a support amp;amp; training team and directly with end-users
  • Strong project management skills
  • Experience with fundraising practices in non-profit organizations, is preferred
  • Experience working in a Salesforce organization with over 100 users, is preferred
  • Familiarity with Visualforce pages and/or Lightning web components , is preferred
  • Familiarity with Apex code and test classes, is preferred
  • Familiarity executing SOQL queries, is preferred
  • Experience working with NGO Connect and Salesforce.org / roundCorner, is preferred
  • Experience with Gearset or other DevOps tools for Salesforce, is preferred


COMPENSATION
The annual salary for this position is $80,628 (Level I). This salary is reflective of a position based in New York, NY. This salary will be subject to a locality adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting. Note that most of the salaries listed on our job postings reflect New York, NY salaries, where our National offices are headquartered.
