The PayPal sales organization acquires merchants and partners via direct and indirect sales teams. The Global Revenue Operations team supports the functions essential to the global sales force. These include planning, process optimization, compensation support, sales tools management, sales and partner analytics, and performance management. The Sales Operations Analyst 5 works as a business partner, responsible for driving sales productivity and effectiveness, by managing operations for one or more regional sales team(s), depending on team size. This role is a high performing individual contributor, typically reporting to a Revenue Operations Director.

The Sales Operations Analyst 5 will drive the annual business planning process and enable the ongoing operating rhythms of the sales team(s) within the region, by employing sales best practices in Sales Compensation, Pipeline & Forecast Management, Territory & Account Allocations, Account Planning, Lead Management, and Deal Management. The Sales Operations Analyst 5 will work closely with internal stakeholders such as Technology, Analytics, and Compensation to ensure the appropriate objectives and priorities are enabled for the sales organization to achieve revenue targets. In some cases, the Sales Operations Analyst 5 will also take on a Program Management role and coordinate the work of multiple cross functional teams in execution of strategic initiatives designed to improve the sales processes and practices for the assigned sales region(s).

Job Description:

Responsibilities

  • Analyze data to communicate revenue performance results, build forecasts, and develop insights to help sales leaders improve the performance of the business.
  • Oversee day-to-day sales process execution and deal approvals, identify problems, escalate issues or recommend/take corrective action
  • Implement sales forecasting, account and territory planning, quota setting, performance management and other sales management disciplines. Proactively monitor and strive to maintain high levels of quality, accuracy, and process consistency
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams and Sales Enablement partners on GTM planning and readiness for new sales initiatives, tracking and administration of new sales campaigns, lead generation, and product launches
  • Manages and provides input to senior leadership and Compensation COE in the development and administration of sales incentive compensation programs.
  • Assist in the development of internal audits and controls to ensure integrity of business processes and data.
  • Provide general support for sales team inquiries, ad-hoc requests, projects, and escalations for the sales region(s).

Skill Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years experience within sales management, sales/revenue operations, or management consulting. Experience in banking, payments, financial services or fintech is preferred.
  • Requires an excellent understanding of standard business practices related to Sales/Revenue Operations processes and systems (sales cycle, salesforce.com, reporting, forecasting, territory management, sales compensation and quota design).
  • Process design and reengineering experience helpful. Six Sigma certification, preferred.
  • Proven experience in transforming sales/revenue operations and driving quantifiable improvements in sales performance
  • Strong project management skills to implement change and drive adoption of new disciplines
  • Clear, analytical thinker with intellectual curiosity. Challenges the status quo.
  • Ability to build relationships that enable collaboration with and influence of Revenue Operations senior management, sales senior management, and cross functional stakeholders equally
  • Confident self-starter with a keen attention for detail and an ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Able to manage ambiguity and shift priorities when needs change.
  • Flexibility to work with colleagues in Europe, the United States, Australia, and Asia and, on occasion, accommodate calls and deadlines aligned to other time zones
