Position Overview

The Novelis North America Automotive team is looking for a Sales Manager with extensive proven experience to join a dynamic, growth focused commercial auto team.

The role will focus on maximizing the Auto business growth and profitability ensuring Novelis has a flawless supply chain with the account. It is crucial for the role to keep good relationship with key accounts and work collaboratively with them to identify "win win" opportunities. The Sales Manager must have clear, concise communication with our customers to ensure alignment, especially in light of any supply chain, quality, or other issues that may occur.

This position is responsible for developing and managing the customer plan, market strategy, product portfolio, service strategy, negotiation tactics and pricing levels along with product management, consistent with the value stream goals and objectives.

Responsibilities

• Guide Novelis to be supplier of first choice for all aluminum body sheet products by targeting programs for new revenue growth through up-front solution selling using vehicle map and customer plan
• Be the voice of customer at all weekly, monthly and quarterly meetings. Connect with the Novelis global OEM teams drive for 100% customer centricity rating and 100% safety focus internally and externally.
• Lead a matrix OEM focused team including supply quality, program management, product development, Customer Service.
• Coordinate the day-to-day activities (pricing, contract management., supply chain) with respective support function in finance, IT, procurement.
• Develop customer-specific account strategy customer plan in collaboration with the Sales Director, Tech. Director and Product Management functional team

Responsibilities & Qualifications
Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree or higher in a Business, Finance, or related field.
• Masters Degree in Business, Finance or related subject area, preferred.
• Minimum 5-7 years experience in Manufacturing company or production processes.
• Experience with Automotive or Aluminum industry, preferred.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, planning and scheduling, finance and budgeting, quality systems and metallurgy.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Excellent digital literacy, MS Office,
• Good interpersonal skills and negotiating skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-starter and detail oriented.

Location Profile

Novelis' Novi office is located twenty-five miles northwest of the heart of the motor city. Its 50+ employees provide dedicated commercial technical and recycling teams for Novelis' growing automotive customer base.
