Description: Our client is currently seeking a SAFETY MANAGER for their facility located in the quad-city area.
Title- Safety Manager
Status- Direct Hire
Location- IL/IA
Shift- Day
Salary- up to 110K
Degree- Bachelor's degree preferred although not required. Significant experience will be considered in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.
Experience- 2+ Years of experience in manufacturing
The Safety Manager is responsible for the overall development, execution, and management of safety, health, and environmental initiatives for the plant.
Responsibilities
- Provide proper training and execution of all safety programs
- Perform audits and investigations
- Communicate regularly with various departments
- Positively impact the overall safety of the manufacturing facility
Requirements
- 5+ years related experience, preferred
- BS degree, preferred
- Prior experience within manufacturing or warehouse environment
- Working knowledge of OSHA, DOT, and EPA regulations
