- Location: Holy Cross Health has two hospitals and four healthcare centers all a short driving distance from Washington DC and Baltimore, MD
- Full-Time (Monday - Friday - 7:00 am - 3:30 pm)
- Location: Germantown, MD

- This position reports to reports to the Supervisor of Environment of Care & Safety
- Inspects work areas and equipment to ensure compliance with company, state, and federal safety policies and regulations.
- Responsible for documenting safety inspections, citing dangerous areas/procedures and recommending corrective procedures, and maintaining safety equipment supply and availability for all hospital facilities.
- Monitors work practices and procedures for compliance with health and safety requirements. Recommends corrective action.
- Assures that the occupational safety health, environmental management (may include emergency management) needs of the organization are properly assessed and effectively addressed.
- Ensures the scheduling and completion of fire drills as required by NFPA, the Joint Commission, and authorities having jurisdiction.
Required:
- Knowledge of occupational safety and health and environmental compliance laws, regulations, and standards.
- Minimum of three years' experience in the implementation of occupational safety and health and environmental compliance programs.
- Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office
- Bachelor's degree in the sciences biology, chemistry, physics, or engineering disciplines preferred.
- Certified Healthcare Safety Professional (CHSP) or Certified Safety Professional (CSP) preferred.
