Right now our Operations Center in Tacoma, WA is seeking a Full Time Router!

Salary: $14.49 Per Hour

Position Summary: Routers are responsible for the process of collection, transporting, and sorting of donated merchandise in the production department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The Router responsibilities include the following and other duties as assigned:

  • Provides a smooth flow of goods to the production workstations
  • Reacts with urgency to determine production needs and adapts quickly to changing business conditions
  • Tickets items for sale by attaching price ticket to item
  • Places items on or in appropriate transport container safely and labels correctly
  • Monitors and reports supply needs to supervisor
  • Ensures the area stays clean, well-organized and safe
  • Assists the production department
  • Maintains receiving and delivery shipping logs
  • Maintains safety standards as provided by the Production Supervisor
Product Quality Assurance
  • Inspects and cleans items to be priced and placed on the sales floor.
Product Sorting
  • Unloads sacks, boxes, and miscellaneous donated items from trucks into donation carts and transports them to proper processing workstation or storage areas.
Record Keeping
  • Assists with tracking and recording daily production, donor and shipping/receiving records.

Qualifications/Basic Job Requirements:
  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
  • 1 -- 3 months of related experience and/or training
  • 1 year of forklift experience highly desired but not mandatory
  • Exceptional analytical, judgment, decision-making and communications skills

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Language Skills: Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills: Not required for this position.

Computer Skills: Not required for this position.

Other Skills and Abilities: Comprehensive understanding of all aspects of a Router.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Not required for this position.

Other Qualifications: Self-motivated; resourceful, creative; high integrity; problem solver; looks to resolve issues; positive can-do approach; and ability to build effective working relationships.

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk, hear and type. The employee is regularly required to stand; walk and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.

Work Environment: The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
