Marsh & McLennan Agency is looking for seasoned professional to join us in our Defined Contribution / 401(k) Plan Upper Midwest Business (UMW) business. Our client base is growing rapidly, and we need to bring someone on board who thrives in a client facing/advisor role. The ideal candidate would also be capable of trouble shooting new business opportunities on behalf our business development team. This position provides significant room for professional growth. While we need someone who is ready to contribute to our business immediately, it will still require 12-18 months to master our proprietary processes and systems.

Successful candidates will possess the following skills:

• Ability to prepare for and lead Plan Sponsor meetings.
• Ability to direct all activities related to the successful retention of their assigned clients.
• Extremely high desire to provide excellent customer service - someone who thoroughly enjoys keeping clients happy and proactively growing client relationships.
• Investment Advisory knowledge/experience - being able to analyze a fund's metrics, determine if there is reason to make a fund change, and communicate the analysis, recommendation and rationale to a client effectively.
• Knowledge of ERISA and retirement plan landscape - we consult and assist our clients with all aspects of a retirement plan, from the day-to-day administrative issues, to compliance, plan design, investment strategies, vendor selection and overall fiduciary governance.
• Workplace humility - someone who can handle a 12-18 month window of "learning the ropes" at our firm, which will initially include overall assistance to our team as you systematically master our process and build a book.
• Outstanding attention to detail differentiates us from our competition and we need teammates who are passionate about this principle.
• Presentation skills - part of the role will be to conduct employee education meetings, either in a one-on-one or group setting. This typically involves explaining the benefits of the organizations retirement plan, as well as basic saving and investing themes.

Minimum requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

• 5 years of experience in the Financial Services industry or exceptional, demonstrated ability to learn new information quickly
• 3 years of client-facing experience or demonstrable relationship building skills
• Ability to travel up to 5 nights/month to meet with clients; mileage and expenses reimbursed
• Series 6 and 63 securities registration licenses or willingness to obtain during first 6 months
