RESPONSIBILITIES/REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's degree and 1 Year of direct care experience OR High School diploma/GED 4 years of direct care experience. Knowledge of substance abuse preferred. Case management experience preferred.

Must have a valid driver's license and be able to drive an organization automobile/van

Must have Act 33/34/73 Clearances upon hire

Physical and drug screen

SCHEDULE (This is a non-exempt/hourly position)

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM (4 day work week)

ABOUT THE ROLE

Our Mental Illness and Substance Abuse Residential Care Advisor provides assistance and training to individuals with co-occurring Substance Abuse /Serious Mental Illness in a residential location. We are looking for people who can work as a team and assist the persons served in the residence (up to 11 adults) in using their strengths to successfully transition into the community, you might be asked to assist with coaching and modeling skills such as cleaning, cooking, hygiene and offer support in strengthening the healthy and effective coping skills needed for a successful recovery. You may be expected to take residents to activities in the community, medical appointments, design and carry out group activities, collaborate with the clinical team and monitor medication.

ABOUT YOU

In any given day, you might teach and monitor daily living skills, manage medications, take residents to appointments, interact with family members, take residents to self-help community groups and activities, create service plans, conduct one on one counseling, and complete referrals for community based programs. We're looking for employees who are professional, flexible, compassionate, and can remain composed in stressful situations.
