The Research Support Coordinator is a key team member of the UM Center for Family and Adolescent Trauma Treatment (CFATT) focused on serving adolescents who have been impacted by trauma and their families.

Principal Duties:

  • Serves as the primary contact person for referral sites and works collaboratively with community partners.
  • Coordinates referrals across programs and partner agencies.
  • Successfully engages adolescents and parents to ensure high participation rates.
  • Coordinates all assessment and youth/family contact activity.
  • Schedules and conducts assessment interviews with adolescents and parents.
  • Represents the program professionally at meetings and community events.
  • Ensures all data collection aspects of the protocol are being implemented in a rigorous fashion including but not limited to collection of data from adolescents and parents.
  • Organizing and timely and accurate data reporting in program data systems such as including but not limited to SAMHSA SPARS.
  • Travels within the city limits to meet with community agencies and families.
  • Provides weekly program and assessment updates to project director and attends program meetings.
  • Works flexible schedule which includes afternoon, evenings and some Saturdays.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education Requirements (Essential Requirements):

Bachelor's degree.

Work Experience Requirements (Essential Requirements):
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience working with minority high risk adolescents and families.
  • Must be bilingual in English and Spanish, enabling her/him to work effectively with Hispanic families.
  • Must have a valid Florida driver's license.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate well with others.
