Eurofins Agroscience Services is searching for a Research Scientist II to work in Sanger, CA.

Research Scientist II responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following :

• Plans own work and supervises the day-to-day activities for study/trial activities under prescribed processes (protocols, standard operating procedures, methods, etc.)
• Conduct all phases of study design, scheduling, and conduct.
• Conduct pesticide residue analysis in a wide variety of matrices (crops/soils/water).
• Provides guidance to technicians on the proper conduct of study assignments
• Completes highly complex work for research and development under GLP guidelines for studies, documentation, etc.
• Assume responsibility for writing study/field plans.
• Check raw data, results of statistical analysis, and final reports for allocated studies.
• Serve as Study Director/Principal Investigator/Trials Coordinator on assigned projects and maintain liaison with sponsors and/or regulatory agencies.
• Serves as point of contact and subject matter expert in areas of expertise for internal and external customers.
• Trains staff on techniques.

• Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills
• Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
• Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies
• Ability to read and understand scientific information and use this knowledge to generate coherent reports.
• Monitor/Assess performance of yourself, other individuals, or organizations to make improvements or take corrective action.
• Understand the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making.
• Be able to identify complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions

Basic Minimum Qualifications :

• M.S. degree in an appropriate field (e.g. biology, environmental science, analytical chemistry, chemistry, or biochemistry) with 5-7 years of relavent experience. B.S. degree and experience may substitute for the M.S. degree.
• Hold extensive knowledge of agricultural and related laboratory practices, plant life and development, and farming operations.
• Able to work outside of standard business hours, according to team/business workloads.
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
