Market Range: 09Hiring Salary: $4,000.00 - $4,941.69/monthlyTHIS IS A GRAND FUNDED POSITIONJOB SUMMARY/ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:  Under the direction of an assigned supervisor the Research Data Coordinator will be responsible for the management of clinical research study data and specific database entry for Investigator-Initiated Research. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Develops data management plans for clinical research Investigator-Initiated Research IRB studies.
  2. Generates study specific source documents and data-extraction sheets for Investigator-Initiated Research.
  3. Coordinates the development of Redcap and/or Excel databases for Investigator-Initiated Research.
  4. Completes data entry into Electronic Data Capture Systems (EDC) for study specific investigator-Initiated protocols.
  5. Assists GSM Research Coordinators with IRB Continuing Review processes that includes the completion of study status reports, demographic percentages, safety reports, deviation reports.
  6. Assists in the coordination of database driven quality assurance audits: create, update, track, and maintain study-specific files, tools, and systems.
  7. Develops Patient Source and EMR Extraction Documents for retrospective and prospective Investigator.
  8. Transcribes data into appropriate databases, conduct routine reviews for data discrepancy, query generation, resolution, and reconciliation, and develop data management plans.
  9. Assists Faculty and Investigators with abstract and manuscript development and submission post data collection for Investigator-Initiated Research.
  10. Generates and maintains a database of CVs, licenses, CITI training, etc., for researchers and staff.
  11. Assists departmental leadership in the identification of potential funding opportunities through utilization of large-scale databases and search engines.
  12. Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:  EDUCATION:  Bachelor’s Degree; two (2) years of related experience; OR a combination of college course work and related work experience to equal ten (10) years.  (TRANSCRIPT REQUIRED)WORK SCHEDULE: This position may occasionally work evenings and weekends.  KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND, ABILITIES 
  • Ability to create and maintain extensive medical records on clinical research subjects.
  • An understanding of complex diagnoses, medications, and procedures.
  • Understanding of Basic Research Principals and Federal Code of Regulations for Clinical Research Studies.
  • Understanding of hospital policies and procedures, medical records and documentation, and HIPPA regulations
  • Knowledge of research protocols
  • Interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Highly developed planning and organizing skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to work with diverse populations.
  • Intermediate level computer skills with ability to learn new software applications for various electronic data capture programs
