Absorption Systems, a preclinical Contract Research Organization is seeking a Research Associate I to join our growing company. The Research Associate I will work as part of a team in a lab environment to complete client-driven projects.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • General laboratory tasks including buffer preparation, sample logging and handing, shipping samples to or for clients, equipment maintenance, lab maintenance, and ordering supplies
  • Sample analysis following established SOPs
  • Performing GLP/cGMP assays
  • Assist in the development and Validation of new assays.
  • Ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of all laboratory-related processes
  • Providing technical assistance to assigned research staff
  • Providing high-quality documentation of all lab-related activities, including, for example, assay batch record, sample inventory, etc.
  • Maintaining regular communication with scientists, study director, and other project staff
  • Adhering to all laboratory standards as defined in each written SOP

Job Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a scientific field with 0-3 years of industry experience
  • Experience with mammalian cell culture, cell-based assay, FLOW, and ELISpot techniques is critical
  • Experience with ELISA, enzymatic assays, western blots, and Luminex techniques is desired
  • Experience with GLP and cGMP as well as assay development and validation is preferred
  • Must be detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task and work as part of a team to complete projects
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to work under supervision in a team environment.
  • Excellent computer skills are required, must be proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel (formulas, graphs, and charts), and PowerPoint.
